Preserving the Legacy of Ted Rhodes

Through this program, the Foundation actively supports the preservation of the legacy of Ted Rhodes through speeches to businesses, schools, teams and community groups, sports and golf clubs and support organizations about what Ted Rhodes meant to the game of golf and what the Foundation hopes to achieve in his honor. As part of this effort, the Foundation hosts an annual golf tournament each September at theTed Rhodes Golf Club in Nashville, Tenn., to help support the various programs of the Foundation and various mentoring programs for youth. Most recently, the program is working to provide scholarships through a formal relationship with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Toastmasters Youth Leadership

The Foundation works with the Toastmasters Youth Leadership program to improve the communication skills of youth. Designed to develop speaking and leadership skills for adolescents and teens, the program focuses on teaching students communication, leadership, creativity, persuasiveness and organization skills. These skills learned early can help kids in underserved areas access the skills and tools to express themselves throughout their lives in significant ways that can be crucial to their ultimate success in life.
