Tiger Hubbard was born April 18, 2001. He started swinging a club around the age of 1, and by the age of 3, he was taking lessons from Scott Koontz, a PGA Teaching Pro from the area. Now, 10 years later, Tiger is still taking lessons with Scott. Tiger played in his first Jr Golf tournament at the age of 4, and won his first tournament at the age of 5. He has competed in over 250 Jr Golf tournaments, and traveled to over 12 different states for competitions.
Tiger recently competed in the John Shippen Youth Golf Academy’s annual tournament, where he took first place in his division. Earlier in the summer, he competed in the Orlando Minority Youth Golf Associations’ golf championships, where he competed in the 15 – 16 yr old group, and finished 3rd.
Outside of golf, Tiger has been actively involved in Scouting since the age of 6, and within the next 12 – 15 months, expects to earn his Eagle Scout, an award that less than 5% of all scouts earn. In addition, Tiger has studied Tae Kwon Do for the past 5 1/2 yrs, and will be testing for his black belt in 2 weeks.
Tiger will be entering the 8th grade this fall, and maintains a 3.4GPA. Tiger enjoys reading, playing video games, basketball and riding quads and motorcylces
Tiger is the youngest of 4 children, and has 3 older sisters.
